The rumors are true...

I am now 40! Patty organized a wonderful dinner party with a few selected guests Saturday night. It was great fun!!!

I personally do not feel 40 is over the hill and I am sure my parents would agree with me!

These are just some of the wonderful "Over the Hill" decorations.

My wonderful, and might I add talented, boyfriend carved this watchband for me. I can't get a real clear one but it is flowers carved into the ivory pieces. Each of those pieces is separated by a piece of petrified ivory(darker) leaves. It's pretty awesome!

Pictures from Nome

Here are a few pictures from our adventures in Nome.

Mandy, me, and Tunie - giving the SPED hello sign. (long story)

Me and my roomie, Tunie.

Me and Reb - we were so excited that our cell phones worked in Nome. It's funny that we've been there before but we had no clue that we had service. In this picture Rebecca and I were actually talking to each other. It was cracking us up that there was such a delay and we were only inches away from each other.

Here's Tunie eating Chinese. The two of us had Chinese on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It really was good... or we wouldn't have eaten it every day. (Golden China)

Ok, so this is the House of Bargains in Nome. It's nothing like the House of Bargain in Sault Ste. Marie... I didn't venture inside for a look but I am going to take a wild guess that they do not sell furniture!
Patty and I went to Nome on Thursday because I had a dental appointment that afternoon at 4:00. We spent Friday shuttling people from the airport to the hotel and shopping. Saturday and Sunday were spent in training. It was a good weekend!

Monday we started basketball practice. I have 9 girls out and Patty has a full round of guys. We are running practice together for now. (Thank God for Tunie and that is all I need to say on that.) So our day now looks like this... get to school about 7:45, teach all day, 3:30-4:30 is tutoring, 4:30-6:30 is ball practice, 7:00 leave school... go home and crash!!! I'm already wiped out... can not imagine how I will feel come March! Looking forward to next Friday!!!
